Zine's Visual Literacy

Before engaging with the design itself, I decided to look into the visual identity that is associated with seems to be able to create something which is best visually literate, to the appropriate style in which I wanted to create.
As can be seen below scenes have a very simplistic layer, they can be seen to be very stuck to a grid in order to give a sense of structure. contrast is added to bright colours simplistic text and full bleed images. Some of the scenes do not contain full bleed images yet are broken up through simplistic illustrations to be able to give the audience a break from the text.
The type that is meant to be focused on is designed in a hierarchal way this is the main focus of the page even in contrast with the image.
The bold large text tells the story simply, simplicity is key within these books due to their size, and the nature in which they must be handed out and spread to a mass audience quickly and cheaply.
