Issues Identified

Identified issues within my reading so far:

Brands becoming icons:

  • cultural symbols
  • how can any brand surpass another without evolving
Notoriety: 
  • Hard to shake an established brand image, and values that have been established by their consumer base. 
  • Trauma-related to the brand, affecting the public vision and impression of that brand.
  • How does a brand remain relevant? 
  • Do they need to be relevant in a world where the consumer drives the brand's direction? 
  • Does sticking to the brand initial values and visually make them aspirational and desirable to be part of their consumer base?
  • Lack of Neo-liberal free market policy
