As a majority of the content of the magazine itself is based on the ideas of moving away from high-end brands, I began to search for photographs to support my content that represented both fashions, but also didn't have much-branded stock in. Unless it has been altered, to show the way that the fashion can be adapted to take away the power from buying into disposable high-end fashion. In searching, I decided to contact a friend of mine who has taken photographs for Best vintage, a vintage clothing brand I used to work for in Leeds. Their aim is to take old designer clothing and repurpose it in a way that makes the garment something completely different from its original form. Therefore perfectly representing the content I am curating that states the way to change your style and personality is through developing your own voice rather than chasing that of consumerism. I decided to contact Matt and ask him for the use of his images within my publication.

For the cover of the magazine, I wanted to use a different style of imagery compared to the internal images. This is because the concept and brief both state that the magazine should obtain a high-end fashion lifestyle feel on the exterior, mixing something they are familiar with to my content, to get them to engage with the piece in the first place. Through Instagram also I found earlier that week that a photographer I know, also from Leeds Arts University, had carried out a shoot in a high-end fashion setting with a bespoke garment and on a grand location. Resembling that of the couture pieces and images that could be found on the front of the fashion lifestyle magazines, I decided to e-mail the photographer asking for consent to use the images.
